and this is what the Warner brochure says:
Extracts
from the Warner brochure.
What
makes a Warner break so special –
We call it the Warner Breaks
spirit and we like to think it’s unique to us.
We’re not sure
if
it’s because our breaks are
for adults only? or because our live entertainment,
dinner
and
breakfast are all part of the
package? Whatever it is, it’s clear that your only
responsibility
when you’re with us, is to
have a good time.
Night
after night we have great live entertainment line up
for you.
“The entertainment team are
so enthusiastic, they put on a great performance
time and time again.”
“Warner
Breaks properties are wonderful places, with great
facilities, great teams and wonderful audiences.”
Duncan
Norvelle
“There
is so much to do and so little time, you wont no
where to start”
The
People
“A
great setting, beautiful food, first class service
and superb entertainment.”
Midland
weekly Media Group
“Taking
a Warner break is a real tonic. What with the
glorious relaxing country or seaside setting of
their lovely hotels or resorts, lots of live
entertainment, dancing, swimming, sporty leisure
activities and good food it’s far more than just
staying at any hotel.”

Oberammergau
Passion
Play 2010
The world-famous Passion Play in
Oberammergau
, traditionally held every 10 years is due to be performed again throughout the
summer of 2010.
It
all began back in 1633 when
Bavaria
was being swept by plague. The elders of
Oberammergau
swore that if the village was purged of the plague then they would perform the
“Play of suffering, Death and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ” every
10 years. The epidemic ended in 1634 and they fulfilled their pledge for the
first time on a stage they put up in the cemetery above the fresh graves of the
plague victims. In the year 2000 the community of
Oberammergau
performed the Passion Play they had preserved through the centuries for the 40th
time.
2010
therefore sees the 41st Passion Play and although traditions of the
past will still be highly visible there will be some fundamental changes for the
2010 performances. The first performance will be on 15th May 2010 and
the final performance on 3rd October 2010. The play will be performed
into the evening, part .1. from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm and part .2. from 8:00 pm to
10:30. Dinner will be held in the intermission.
It
is planned that the play will run 5 times a week on the following days, Sunday,
Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
All
tickets and accommodation for the event have to be bought through the Passion
Play office and we have applied for tickets and hotel accommodation for
September 2010. The actual date we will be allocated will be notified as soon as
